Myofascial Release Massage

Myofascial tissue is continuous and omnipresent in the body. It interweaves and wraps muscles, and every division of tissue within the muscle. By weight, 40% of a muscle is actually fascial tissue.

Where there is chronic or acute pain, limited or difficult range of motion, ongoing stress and tension, there is almost always myofascial tissue which needs to be released and relaxed.

“I truly feel as though I struck gold when I attended Howard Rontal’s Myofascial Release Massage seminars. Taking these newly learned techniques back to my practice allowed me to accomplish more with some people in a single session than I had been able to previously during months of weekly sessions … I often encourage other therapists, particularly those with limited time and money (who really need to make their seminar hours and dollars count) attend Howard Rontal’s Myofascial Release Massage seminars.” James Dahler, North Canton, Ohio

Part I, Upper Body
20 hours (category "A" provider approved by the NCBTMB)

The Myofascial Release Massage is derived from Hellerwork/Rolfing, two of the most effective forms of bodywork available. In this seminar you will learn how to release unwanted stress, tension, and pain in the chest, neck and shoulders, hands, back, and waist; in other words, over the whole upper body. In addition you will gain an understanding of the relationship between posture and emotional attitudes, how constricted fascial tissue leads to creating and reinforcing emotional negativity, and how this work can help break that cycle and restore emotional balance.

This workshop, taken with Part II, Lower Body, and Part III, Advanced Strokes/Evaluation and Treatment will enable you to offer a complete head to toe myofascial release massage as well as work on specific problem areas. The neck, shoulder, and hand strokes are suitable for on-site work.

Students often leave the seminar with better posture, breathing more deeply and with less effort, and more flexible than they have felt in many years. (Women should wear a bra, sports, or bikini top to allow easy access to the rib cage.)

Part II, Lower Body
This seminar will expand upon what you learned in Part I, Upper Body so that you will be able to offer your clients a complete head to toe Myofascial Release Massage.

20 hours (category "A" provider approved by the NCBTMB)

Most people say they hold stress and tension in their neck and shoulders. While this is true they are unaware that their feet, legs, and pelvis are also chronically tense. Myofascial constriction is the lower body is just as enervating as it is elsewhere and it distorts they way people stand, walk, and move.

By the end of the seminar you will feel more relaxed, more grounded, more graceful, and probably taller. This course includes a review of all strokes taught in Part I, Upper Body. (All students should wear lose fitting shorts to allow easy access to the pelvic area and woman should wear a bra, sports bra, or bikini top.)

Part III, Advanced Strokes/Evaluation and Treatment

This seminar will expand upon what you learned in Parts I and II.

20 hours (category "A" provider approved by the NCBTMB)

In the Advanced Class, you will learn 24 new strokes, effective and detailed “recipe” approaches both for neck and low back problems, as well as easy to use assessment and evaluation techniques.

The course includes a 122-page manual, and falls under my name for approval as a continuing education provider by the NCBTMB, AMTA, and other accrediting organizations. (All students should ear lose fitting shorts to allow easy access to the pelvic area and woman should wear a bra, sports bra, or bikini top.)
